Feeling the Love.

It's probably an understatement to say I have a heart addiction. Sounds like something I need treatment for. Maybe I do. Nevertheless, I love hearts! This is one of the reasons that I love Valentine's Day so much! I get to binge on hearts all month long and not be judged as if I think am living in a Disney movie. Ok, maybe people still do but I have a pretty good excuse to let my love for hearts hang out there like a plumber's crack. I was free to wear my heart on my sleeve, in my hair, on my feet, and in my tummy.

Since I couldn't buy Zachary chocolate-shaped hearts I decided to make all of his purees for the month heart-shaped. I'm not sure I'll be able to stop. Cute food is another addiction of mine.
I made lots of heart cookies (made with the recipe from this awesome treat cookbook my mom got me) and yummy dark chocolate cherry glazed brownies with the recipe for Ruche (by Elsie & Emma)  to deliver to loved ones. And a the bow and arrows I made for our little family shoot
I love Starbuck's holiday cups! & a indoor pizza living room picnic with two sick boys
some of our heart decorations.
As you can see I made lots of heart-shaped food. Holidays make me want to bake lots and eat horrible-for-you delicious foods.

Sometimes I swear I like the time leading up to holidays more than the holidays themselves. Decorating, crafting, shopping and baking/eating treats to prepare is the fun part. As I said in the previous post our actual Valentine's Day was actually pretty awful. Alas, I still love it. I think all the anticipation of the prep makes you so excited that you will be a little disappointed no matter what. I'm always bummed when the actual day arrives because that means no more month-long celebration. Anyone else?

Now onto celebrating my Irish roots! Or just eating lots of Lucky Charms (marshmallows only, duh!) and wearing one of the three green things I own.

Week 35: Capitola

For our week 35 shoot we headed out to beautiful Capitola to feel the sand on our feet and scare little children with my giant belly. We both would love live there one day. He grew up on the beaches in South France so I know he would love for his little guy to get to do the same. For now we will just have to take him as often as we can. Those colored homes make me swoon every time.

(that's right, I jumped like that at 35 weeks pregnant- not quite as high as him =) - taken in one try too)

Pictures from the shower coming soon and some belly painting fun! I got a really great surprise that made the shower extra special. =)

Week 24: Be Mine

Hello all you lovely people who are reading this. I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day. I spent it at work, seeing my dad and watching The Bachelor with my mom. The boyfriend and I work opposite schedules during the week so no date night for us. He did surprise me with BEAUTIFUL flowers and delicious Chevy's flautas though. If you only knew how I love both of those things you would know how romantic it really was. And of course we did a little Valentine's themed shoot on Sunday.

The wind was ruining everything but it was still fun. That is until he got a splinter jammed in his nail from picking up all those hearts. Ouch! Sorry honey!

I made him a Valentine involving this:

Oh how I love that boy!

Valentine's Day marked our 100 days till Baby Bear arrives! That means today we are officially in the double digits. Oh, wow. So much to do in the next 99 days!

What did you all do for Valentine's Day? Or what did you do to protest it?

XOXO,

Tenley

Scrabble Sundays: Je Taime

This is the start of a new weekly post I'll be doing on Sundays using Scrabble letters. Because honestly who doesn't like Scrabble? The letters are so much fun to play with!

With Valentine's Day being tomorrow I obviously had to do a little love themed image this week. We are working opposite schedules tomorrow so no plans for us. What about all of you? Any fun date nights planned?

Wether you are in a relationship or not I hope you all have a great Valentine's Day celebrating it with whoever you love in your life. Dog, cat, parent, friend, etc.

XOXO,

Tenley
