Happy December!
This is what happens 10 minutes after Daddy walks out the door for work and you have a $1 Santa hat from Target just begging to be photographed.
In the days leading up to Thanksgiving it was like I had a bomb strapped to my chest. A ticking time-bomb of Christmas spirit that exploded the second the holiday was over. Christmas carols came pouring out of me the second the clock struck midnight. My Cinderella pumpkin turned into a gorgeous red sleigh filled with merriment. I am determined to devour every last morsel of holly jolly from the cookie jar of Christmas cheer. With this being Zachary's first Christmas I am even more obsessed than normal. These little hands are itching to craft and bake every waking moment.
Here's to egg nog, tinsel, mistletoe, carols, wreaths, trees, and too many yummy baked treats.
Whatever your holiday, how do you celebrate and what are you looking forward to this season?

A Very Roxy Christmas
My mom bought Roxy cute Christmas pajamas this year that match her new puppies. Though they are very adorable, Roxy is not a fan of wearing clothing. She's a bit of an ever-nude (Arrested Development anyone?). Since I love my little dogter and hate to make her unhappy, I only put her in outfits on very rare and special occasions. Just for pictures. Plus, I happen to like her in all her furry glory.
It reads "Santa Baby" on the butt. There were some Christmas socks but she wasn't having it. The girls got limits. Even the handful of treats she got for doing this wasn't worth that. And without further ado, my shameless, yet adorable, torturing of my little princess:
And a few to show how she really felt about the whole thing:
It's a good thing that all it takes is some kisses to get her to forgive you. I'm pretty sure she'd hate me otherwise.
XOXO,
Tenley

Week 18: Mistletoe
Twinkly lights. Elf. Hot chocolate. Jolly neighbors. Paper Snowflakes. Christmas Carols. The world is just so magical during the holidays. I have always loved this time of year. I didn't realize how much more special it could be when you have a bun in the oven. A squirmy bun at that.
Papa Bear really hates taking pictures so when he said he wanted to be a part of this series I was flabbergasted (such a fun word). He still complained after 3 pictures that it was taking too long but at least he's got his partici-pants on. Hooray for small victories.
We went to two Christmas parties this week.
One more traditional family party:

And a crazy ugly Christmas sweater party:

We got him a Grandma sweater at the Salvation Army but there was nothing good for me. Shame on me for getting rid of mine from last year. I ended up getting a toy sack from Michael's and we cut out the bottom to make it into a dress. We went all out. Side ponytail and all. I was nervous we would be the only ones looking so ridiculous. I was very, very wrong. Everyone was dressed crazy. It was so much fun!
I felt the baby really moving for the first time that night while sitting near the speakers. He really is our child. Neither of us can sit still if there is music playing. We are a ridiculous dancing family. I read that I am no longer allowed to bounce, jump, or do jerky dance movements recently. A little bit of me died while reading that. Worst part of pregnancy yet.
XOXO,
Tenley
