Happy Mother's Day.

Lady,

Thank you for being an amazing mother. For always being there when I need you. For spoiling me way too much. For taking care of me. For Wednesday night dinners. For craft fairs, Starbucks, and frozen yogurt. For chick flicks, the Bachelorette and Top Model. For fancy chocolates. For big Christmases filled with love. For ballet recitals. For trips to New York and tickets to musicals. For movie dates. For spending days painting my room red. For spoiling Roxy too. For listening. For the advice. For everything you do for me and our family. For being the amazing grandma I know you will be. And for the lessons you have taught me to be the best mother I can for him.

I love you with all of my heart!

-Lady Jane

And here is a very heartfelt and touching note I wrote to her on Mother's Day when I was seven (I think):

I don't sound spoiled at all. And check out that awesome outfit. I can't say I thank you for that one Mom. =)

To all the mothers out there, the daughter's of amazing mothers and expecting mothers I hope you had the most amazing day and felt every bit as appreciated as you should be for all you do!

My Dear Lady Jane,
It has always been my pleasure, and more than that, my privilege, to be mother to an amazing, talented, loving daughter. I wouldn't have had it any other way, except perhaps to have been there more. Your wishes were granted as often as possible because you never expected them, and always appreciated my efforts. Even when you "mentioned" you "needed" a new dress for that night as I was dropping you off for school for that evening's school Christmas show was my pleasure. I loved that you knew exactly what you wanted and loved your red velveteen dress and the pinafore you'd "ordered" that morning - much like the smocked bubble for the 4th of July you asked for the day before. I look at those pictures and love the memory - just as I love the picture you chose of the Halloween party above. Always has been one of my favorites.
Every movie, show, dinner, trip with theatre tickets, all the fancy NH chocolates (Burdicks), episodes of The Bachelor, Project Runway, ANTM, chick flicks, all the craft fairs, trips to Starbucks, spoiling Roxy, ballet recitals, every reading of every story, every practice of your U6 soccer team, for painting your room stadium red against my better judgement (and you were right), last minute shopping trips for prom dresses, every minute of everything I've spent time with you, for you, has been as much (if not more) for me than for you. I cherish every moment, every memory, I know they are part of what has made you the incredible woman you have become, and the incredibly loving and wonderful mother you will be to Baby Bear, and loving partner to his Papa Bear. It is has been my honor to be part of your journey this far.

Love, Lady Mommers / Mimi

There's always Pooh and Me.
"What would I do?" I said to Pooh,
"If it wasn't for you," and Pooh said, "True,
It isn't much fun for One, but Two,
Can stick together, says Pooh, says he.
"That's how it is," says Pooh."
